What’s changed?
As prompted by the Instagram #10yearchallenge! there have been many positive images put out on social media since the beginning of this New Year with people posting about how they have changed for the better over the last 10 years.
How it’s changed for me
Totally coincidentally, just before the #10yearchallenge, a friend put out this picture on FB of me at a party NYE 2009. It was one of those “pop up” FB memory posts.
At the time, though I had attended to my damaging alcohol intake two years beforehand, I still smoked cigarettes and took very little exercise.
Compare me then to 10 years on.
This photo is the first one to be taken of me in 2019 and I was celebrating my friend Bob’s 10 years of no smoking.
I reached that amazing milestone in September 2018. Quitting smoking is absolutely one of the best things I have ever done.
Look out for a little interview I did with Bob. I’ll be publishing that soon. Find out how he feels about life off the cigarettes and how hypnosis worked for him.
I can honestly say I feel so much healthier than 10 years ago and I think it shows. Here is a fav photo of me taken as I was about to throw myself around at a Zumba masterclass in Paris! Whoooop in any language.
I’ve been going to Zumba classes for around 9 years now and people are always asking me how Zumba is going.
It has been the exercise I have stuck to and still love.
It was partaking in high-energy classes that ignited my desire to try other forms of exercise including weight lifting, HiiT, FunkFit, Insanity…Eeek!
Who’d have known that my first shakeout in a hall in the middle of a playing field would have led to me becoming what is termed as a “studio bunny”. Plus, training for a Dance Fitness Qualification to enable me to run fitness classes of my own!
Here I am Funk-Fitting at Hackney’s Festival of Fitness! What a day that was.
So what’s changed for you over ten years?
Have you implemented changes you promised yourself every New Year’s Eve?
What’s changed since this New Year’s Eve? What do you still have to deal with?
I’m so happy to have already helped clients start 2019 making changes to improve their lives. I’m really looking forward to helping even more people over the coming months.
I hope you or somebody you know will be one of them.
