Keep it short Linda – it’s Christmas!
My December blog is going to be short. I know how busy people are generally. December is full of extra activity for many and concentration spans are compromised. Well mine is for sure!
It has been a busy time hypnotherapy wise for me as we hurtle towards Christmas. I’ve noticed that trend over the years.
People have been pre-empting the start of the New Year and are committing to make changes in advance of the “New Year’s Resolution” tradition.
It is great for me to be coming to the end of another amazing year of meeting and working with inspiring clients, to know that by working together with me they will have witnessed marked changes in themselves.
One of my clients recently emailed me to let me know she “hardly recognised the new me”. In a good way of course.
What to do? Just do it!
I have a tattoo on my foot. JDI. Just Do It.
Most of us need to put action in to achieve a better way of being and we can do that together if the thought of it all seems too much.
It does sometimes feel like a lot of effort, but if it means a better life, it is worth it surely? And you don’t have to do it alone.
A life-long procrastinator due to fear and lack of self-worth and self-belief, things started to change for me when I started to learn to face those fears and challenges, mostly learning from experienced and inspiring people.
When I started to experience how powerful self-care is, my life improved.
Maintenance
Importantly, I do need to monitor my progression regularly to maintain a healthy outlook and state of being.
It’s all an incredible journey not always a destination. Flexibility and adaptability is important to avoid being stuck in a rut.
I approach life with a metaphorical toolbox of strategies I’ve learned to fix the way I feel, deal with life on life’s terms, foster tolerance of others (and myself) and have an attitude of gratitude.
Believe
The picture I have included in this blog is of one of the many gorgeous Christmas lights adorning Brighton City Centre. Believe. We need to believe that we will be OK in order to move forward, to grow and improve our lot. The word Wish is there in lights too. Wishing for better is fine, but wishing on its own rarely works.
Self care
Self-belief and self-worth are crucial. So if you need help with unlocking some of that, or help with anything else that is bothering you, I’m looking forward to you getting in touch.
